Pending Thanksgiving

Details on the wedding are still taking shape but at the moment it is looking like we will be having it some time in July of 2013. We are also considering many options including eloping and then having a reception after the fact, and focusing most of our effort on the honeymoon, which I like personally. Still, as far as I am concerned this is largely Julia's affair so I want to make sure she has sufficient resources and flexibility to get what she wants and that there won't be regrets after the fact. Thus far, I think we're meeting that objection and the current plan is the elopment but nothing is set in stone until invitations go out. :D Well...or it actually happens :D This last weekend I hung out with her folks after being invited to dinner. We had Paiaiya (sp?) since ...(I really don't know what to call my prospective in laws? Proto Mom? Proto Dad? Mr. Carlson? Hey dude? First name really seems inappropriate) Julia's father invited me to dinner and they wanted to test out the charcoal grill. It was quite good. :D Julia and I also had a rather nice dinner at Ray's on the River. We also finished watching season 1 of the New Dr. Who AND (coincidentally enough) the second season of Buffy. I am selling Julia on Angel, which she has never seen and I think she will quite like, but we shall see what we shall see. :D We also had a very nice talk with Mom and Skip and Grandma Saturday night when Julia came over. We're currently taking Swing Lessons (we've had two so far) and I'm greatly looking forward to applying it in some places. Before that, we've also seen Skyfall (the most recent Bond movie) which I'll write a review on my review blog for eventually, and had a blast taking Yoga together. We're doing the sessions sporadically given how much work Julia has in her classes, but we both enjoy them when we take them. We have also enjoyed quite a few walks and talking about the future.
